Grok Bot plans and limits
Which plans include Grok Bot, how usage is metered, and the hard limits worth knowing before you build. Every row links to the official page it comes from, read on 2026-10-31. Prices change: for the current numbers, go to x.ai/pricing.
Short answer
New customers need Premium or higher on The X Subscription; Plus and Free don’t include Grok Bot. Usage comes from one weekly pool shared with Cursor and the Grok apps, so pick Super or Ultra if you plan to run routines all week. Read the plan guide if you’re deciding.
The X Subscription (new customers)
List prices as printed in the docs, before tax. “Included usage” is relative to Plus, as the docs state it; xAI does not publish the size of the pool in hours or tasks.

Fact Sources: The X Subscription: Pricing · Grok Bot on The X Subscription
- Team seats: Premium $30, Super $100 and Ultra $200 per seat, each with the same usage as the matching individual plan. Plus isn’t available for teams, and seats don’t share weekly pools. The X Subscription: Pricing
- The weekly pool is shared across Grok Bot, Cursor and the Grok apps, and different activities draw different amounts from it. The X Subscription: Usage limits
- Past the pool, usage is paid from prepaid credit. Auto Top-up is off until you turn it on, and a monthly additional-usage cap can stop it even when credit remains. Extra usage credits and top-ups
- Check usage under Usage at grok.com/dashboard. Grok Bot on The X Subscription
Legacy Cursor plans and linked subscriptions
Existing Cursor, SuperGrok and X Premium plans keep working; switching to The X Subscription is optional. Cursor describes usage on these plans only relative to each other, so we don’t quote numbers it doesn’t publish.

Fact Sources: Plans and billing for Grok Bot (Cursor help) · Grok Bot FAQ
- A Cursor plan and a linked subscription don’t add together: Grok Bot uses whichever grants more weekly usage. Both keep billing on their own.
- A link is permanent and can’t be moved to another Cursor account, so sign in to the right account before linking.
- When weekly usage runs out on a legacy plan, Grok Bot continues as on-demand usage only if on-demand is enabled, capped by the On-demand monthly limit. A Bot already working can finish past that limit.
- The free trial is a usage credit with a 7-day window. One large task can use all of it, and used credit is not restored.
Hard limits worth knowing
The same on every plan, as documented. A run past a routine limit fails with “Automation run rate limit exceeded” and isn’t retried.

FAQ
Is Grok Bot free?
No. It is included on paid plans: Premium, Super and Ultra on The X Subscription, or a paid legacy Cursor plan. Some accounts are offered a one-time trial, which is a usage credit with a 7-day window; used credit is not restored.
Does the Plus plan include Grok Bot?
No. On The X Subscription, Plus and Free don't include Grok Bot. Premium is the lowest plan that does.
What happens when my weekly usage runs out?
Grok Bot stops until the weekly reset, unless you have extra usage set up: prepaid credit on The X Subscription, or on-demand usage on a legacy Cursor plan. A cap does not stop a run midway, so a working Bot can finish a little past it.
Do a Cursor plan and a SuperGrok subscription add together?
No. On a legacy Cursor account, Grok Bot uses whichever one grants more weekly usage. Both keep billing on their own.
